Syrian Refugees Appeal

After more than a decade of conflict, the people of Syria have found some sort of comfort by either seeking refuge in neighbouring countries, or being displaced in their own country. But escaping conflict hasn’t been peaceful, as their lives are constantly facing various challenges, be it climate conditions, or due to poverty.

The Challenges Of Syrian Refugees

Most displaced people in Syria settled in the northern parts of the country, where the climate is harsh, and basic needs such as food, water, and shelter are scarce. While the number of Syrian refugees is more than 6.8 million people who’ve taken refuge in neighbouring countries such as Jordan and Lebanon.

Over 92% of refugees who have fled to these neighbouring countries live in rural regions, with only roughly 5% residing in refugee camps. But even after escaping the conflict in their homeland, they cannot find solace or stability as more than 70% of Syrian refugees are living in poverty, with limited access to basic services, education or job opportunities.

Moreover, refugee children’s future is at risk as their education has been interrupted by the challenges of displacement, the pandemic, and poverty.

What Needs To Be Done

The only hope keeping them alive is the generosity of their brothers and sisters such as yourself, and the resources of our projects aimed to help them in their time of need.

With your donations, Scot Aid aims to send humanitarian aid to Syrian refugees living in miserable conditions. They need food security, adequate shelters and clothing to survive, and our collective efforts can play a significant part in that.

So be their hope in this time of need and donate to deliver humanitarian aid to the most vulnerable and needy refugees.
